Anyone know of any updates on the Deer Valley trail off hwy 4, I know it was closed 1/2 half way through. Is it still closed.

Check if Hwy 4 is closed (it is now), otherwise you can't get to Lake Alpine.

again not meaning to hijack , but you all are right . from what I am seeing . The Forest map says 4/15 , but I'm hearing other places if HWY 4 is open you can get on Slick Rock ? any truth ? My Cousin just told me he was hiking on the trail last week . At any rate may have to push a week or 2 . Suppose I could call the Ranger station tomorrow ????

I had one but I deleted it. The Gettin Off 4wd club of the East Bay have their annual sourgrass clean up that day and like to run SlickRock afterwards. Come on up and help keep the trail clean!!
