US guys?

How did you get your big parts mailed to you while stationed overseas?
I have a bumper sitting in texas and my APO says it's to big to mail. UPS and DHL are out of their minds with regards to shipping costs!

i had a bumper sent without any problems, from grant 4x4 on ebay. the rear w/tire carrier had to come in two peices, front with prerunner wasn't a problem...
mostly i have to pay out my a** for shipping. my new lift is more than $80, parcel post. priority is closer to 200. i think that i'll get some more small parts while overseas, but the big mods will have to wait until i get back to america.

UPS and DHL want 350 to 450. Did yours come through the APO?

Try USPS ... I shipped a big 50pound package to Germany a couple weeks ago for about $45 if I remember right.

yeah, it came through the APO. i'm a miserable judge of weight, but the front with the prerunner must've been between 50 and 60 lbs. my 4" lift just shipped, new trac bars, springs, shocks, steering stabilizer, bump stops, the whole deal for $80 (usps parcel post, priority was almost $200 but they'd have done it, if i'd asked). i think they broke it up into two boxes. what kind of bumper is it? i think you can even get Bulletproof shipped to an APO, and their stuff is HEAVY.

call 'em. people are usually much more helpful via telephone than email.

I already own the bumper. I think will just have my Bro-inlaw stick it in the mail and see what happens when it gets to the APO.
