Safety ?'s for JK in Mexico

I will be moving to Guadalajara, Mexico within the year and have a JK. I was hoping to drive in down but don't want to attract too much attention. Is this a common vehicle to see in Mexico or will it stick out too much? Any specific precautions I need to take before the trip. Any advice would be appreciated. Gracias por su ayuda!

the last i heard was that they're stealling old and new trucks and a jk would be a prize catch, in my opinion.
try buying a cheap old car and leave the jk in the states for the time being.

Jeeps getting stolen in Mexico

Mexico is chaos right now, you best leave your JK at home and just buy a daily driver down there, you should be able to find a 4 banger TJ with AC cheap. Also I recommend you get a tracker for your rig, just in case it gets jacked.

Check out this post about some Jeeps stolen in Mexico during a trail run.

yeah, a JK ain't that of a good idea if you're driving all around. If you are only in "secure" areas, go ahead. But as the MXRRA said, better go buy an old sentra (TSURU) so you won't attract that much of attention.

Sorry to say this, but Stinkxico is very dangerous nowadays
