off-road parks in europe.

we probably all love to go wheeling in differand spots as often as possible, but being as it is, most of the old continent is pretty mutch filled with villages, towns, citys and highways. what is left is usualy national parks or proborty of some enviromental group.

so basicly this post is a call for all european jeepers to post there wheeling spots, open trails, private parks, ect..

i'll go first with some places in belgium and france. it will be pretty easy to find additional info by doing a google search.

1)Sclayn off-road park. its a private owend park near the city off namur in belgium. the terain type goes from verry muddy in winter, to rock hard in the summer. it has some nice mudpits and water crossings. its is pretty difficuld at points, and it is adviable to prepare for damage.
2)marcanterra. is a national park open to 4x4's on guided tours. its located in the north-west of france between the city's of calais and Le Havre. the terain consist mostly off forrest roads and duines. it has some challegin clims and nice decends. don't let the fackt that its a guided trip scare you, because they are there to keep you on the tracks and to keep you from getting lost. difficulty ranges from starters to difficult. nice to know is that you are wheeling on a part off "the atlantic wall" build by the nazi's the prevent a allied invasion in the WW2. the actcual landing happend more south in normandy, and the inplacments have been dynamited, but they are still present. definatly worth to spent a wekend.

OK lets hear it....

"In Belgium there are two communities. One are called Walloons and they speak French, the others are called Flemings and they speak a kind of low Dutch. They can't live together. After the war, we should make two states, one known as Walloonia and one as Flamingia, and we should amalgamate Luxembourg with Flamingia. What do you say to that?"

I joined the Jeep Club recently in Spain, all I did was goto my local garage, ask them for the Jeep club form, fill it in and i then sent it off..

two weeks or so later I received a letter telling me my Jeep club pack was at the dealers.. off I go, the pack contains a couple of stickers, a leaderman type multi tool, and a Jeep book, with all the roads and highways in spain suitable for Wheeling, including the Jeep authorised route around the whole of Spain complete with pictures, text, gps points, points of interest etc etc.

You dont need a new jeep to join the club, and entrance is free as long as you own a jeep.

Now then, if each country has its own Jeep club, I wonder if it would be breaking rules if were all to post the legal rutes and byways per country?

Catch is, there is a heap of text and pages, and im sure scanning the pages would be illegal, but writing down the roads and routes I dont see as being illegal as its open information.

Is it worth us entering our various countries green routes and creating a european road route planner for jeeps?

Or in any case the routeplanner for European Jeepers reading this forum.

I'm Dutch, and to let you know that there is not much here but small mud/sand terrains and therefore only leaves us trials and drive across the borders to i.e. Belgium (and meet MugZy ).

But the Jeepclub this year again plans a trip te Germany as well.
To Ballenstedt to be precise. An old mine in the eastern part of Germany with some green parts surrounding it.
