Also have plans to attend. Was thinking of a slow leisurely drive up on Thursday. Looking forward to a great time!

Hey guys, I haven't been on jeepforum in quite a while. I've been mourning. I sold my YJ when we got orders to Germany and were told we could only bring one vehicle. Wasn't until after I got here that I found out I could have space-A'd a second vehicle. Now I know, and it's too late. I was walking by the KMCC the other day and noticed their jeeps, which got me to thinking... So, the wife and I were considering buying another jeep while we're here. Maybe even something built in the last 5 years? Who knows. I thought I'd ask around the community to see if y'all had any thoughts on the matter. I was walking by the KMCC the other day and noticed their jeeps on which got me to thinking...

I know there's not much for wheeling around here, I only ever owned my jeep before to hunt and fish out of, but I loved adding to it and building it up. I was thinking of making a purchase here as a commuter until I got back to the states and then starting from scratch on a slightly more modern build than my '92.

Is it worth it to buy from the dealers around here? How's the commuting life in a late modal jeep? I'm sure any additions would be expensive here, but I could see adding some bolt-on stuff while I'm here.

Anyway, first time back on the forum in a long time. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. PM or hit me here. Thanks!
-Luke

Looks great! ...but I definitely want another wrangler. Owning and loving my YJ, I never really read up much on the late models. I know that I don't like the 4-doors, but right now that's about it. I haven't even figured out what the current trims, options, or prices are. Certainly not opposed to something used, but I'm not sure what's out there for a good price. So far all I've seen are used wranglers for the same sticker prices on the new ones...

Ok. Good luck. The local prices on wranglers r rediculas right now. The cheapest YJ here in a modorate condition is about 4k€. I know one guy on Spangdahlem he's gonna sell his 4 door soon but u dont like that. Did u watched out the yardsale page?
In Stuugart i a blue JK 2door 2009 6speedshifter 18k$
And in Spangdahlem is a black JK 2Door 2007 6speed 15k$
If u need a link i can PM u i think.

I have the yardsale pages, I've been glancing at them. I think I have to sell my BMW first though, I can only have two cars registered at any given time if my understanding is correct.

It may be 2 for single, 3 for married. Either way, I don't want this BMW in my driveway. It's a great car, and almost a classic, it's just not my style. I bought it because I was in a hurry and only had a week to find a car and a house.

Just ordered a '13 JK Sport S in Rugged Brown! Got it for not much more than 1/2 the used ones around here. Should arrive mid-summer!!!

Of course, I still have to sell this Beamer now...
