Boser Wolfe Trip Germany

What happens when you get a bunch of americans with american toys together in a gelandeautopark with nearly free reign.....somebody gets stuck.

Guys on ramstein started out from the shoppette about 0700 with 2 JK's, 1 LJ, and one sweet looking wj. Hit the autobahn at a rocketing 60mph. The germans didnt know what to think of us. the loudest thing on the autobahn was our tires.

about 0900 we stopped at an esso station to fill up and stretch our legs before we took the last 45 minutes of the drive.

We got to Boser wolfe in knullwald around 1000. There we met up with a JK guy from Bamburg. A couple more guys showed up a couple hours later. The park was apparently supposed to be closed but the owner said we could wheel anyways and he would make some quick adjustments to som drop offs in the terrain.

we paid our dues, signed our waivers, and hit the hills. One guy had been before so he showed us how to get to the base of a few trails. Me and the LJ disco'd our sway bars but the stock jk's didnt want to mess with it. They spend most of the rest of the day with 1 wheel in the air.

Despite some of the trails being closed for construction, there were plenty of obstacles to go around. unfortunatly we didnt take many pictures on the trails in the woods where most of the technical stuff was.

while showing the guy with the mountain jk a line, my driver side coil popped out. We tried to use the high lift on my slider to get the diff to hang but we couldnt get it low enough. I ended up driving right back up onto the obstacle to get the suspension droop i needed.

There was one big ice covered water hole that we sent the LJ through first because he had the snorkel. He went straight down the middle with no trouble and i figured the water would stay below my air box if i entered the water slower than him. I also figured it would probably be a little more shallow if i went to the right..... i was wrong on that account and quickly corrected to the center line.

came out with no sputtering and no interior leaks. I shouldnt have tried. The 2 stock jk's quickly backed out and then the red jk with the 35's hit it hard(post #4). While the lj was goofing off in the water hole he lossed his license plate..... never to be seen again.

Part of this trail had started to wash down the hill so it made for some nice drop offs.

yes he has his top off..... no i dont know for sure why..... probably because..... he can lol.

It was 30 degrees when we got there. every thing was frozen. the sun poked through a few times during the day and softened up some mud.

while looking for a trail head in the southwest area of the park we came accross another water hole that we figured the LJ should try first. He stayed on the edge of the hole until the canyon bottlenecked and he had to hit the center of a sleu. he hit the gas as he came into the bottleneck and nailed something under the water that threw his fron end up. after he came down he only got a foot or two further before he was stuck.
At first we had the guy with the red JK come around to be the winch anchor, but he didnt weigh enough and was just being pulled toward the LJ so i came around behind him to hook up for more than double the weight but he didnt have any rear tow points so we moved him out of there and brought in the yellow jk and i hooked on to him. once the LJ started to move we had to pull on his roll cage with the tow strap to keep him from tipping over. A team effort lol.

Second time in 2 weeks i've had to use my fat *** to double up and get someone out. Driving a 4x4 family van has its advantages lol.
