Bilstain Trip Anyone?
If there is interest, I will get someone to help make the arrangments and find a good weekend without a motorcross race or somthing like that.
It sounds like there is camping available as well as bathrooms, showers and a frituur stand.
Bilstain is located in the province of Leige, Belgium, about an hour 15 from Brussels and Bitburg. Probably 2 1/2 from K-Town and 2 from Chivres. Shinnen is pretty close.
Lets do this!

These parks usually charge per vehicle per day. Could be as much as 30 euro.

Allright I'll look into it.
Besides doing this before august, are there any other dates I should try to avoid?

Poor Boy 05-18-2006 02:30 AM

rock-werchter from 29 june - 02 july. and i'm busy on the 4th as well.
aside from that, i'm open. 30 euros is nothing for a day of decent wheeling...hell, i'll spend three times as much going out to a bar, so i guess this would be saving me money!

mcgoo26 05-18-2006 05:37 AM

the 12th-30th of june the wife and kid are going to the states for two weeks, which really isnt a big deal as far as me being able to cut out for a trip. im free for the most part, as of now.

30 Euro isnt too bad. kind of cheap if you ask me. this should work out. Also, is there going to be a rendezvous point somewhere, that way no one is left behind or lost?

hello ,

i'don't want to mess your post ...

but do a google with "chateau de cherimont or sclayn 4x4 "
it's close from Namur's hard core but one of the best place in belgium ...
great camp site and everything needed ...and at least you don't risk to end with a motorbike on the hood ...:D

i will be there saturday 3 june with friends before going to ferme de soiry the 4 th :D
the active challenge will be in bilstain the 10 and 11 june

a week-end only offroading

Poor Boy 05-19-2006 01:44 AM

that place looks great. and namur is pretty close to all of us, well, aside from mcgoo26. jeep festival 18, 19, 20 august! how hardcore is it? the pics don't look so bad...

rapha 05-19-2006 04:32 AM

there is for everybody ..even a suv track....
but the black one is apparently hard core...

just for your info ,there's a trial competiton , active challenge the 10 of june...
in bilstain ...i think it's woth to see it ....

mcgoo26 05-19-2006 12:57 PM

wow!! too many options out there. maybe we should round up everyone willing to go and hook up on messanger or something to see whats up. bottom line is everyone wants to go, but it seems there are some who have issues. such as, location, or prior engagments.

Poor Boy 05-22-2006 05:15 AM

so what's the score here? do we have a plan for bilstain? maybe on the evening of the 8th, wheel all day the 9th, and hang out for the activ challenge on the 10 and 11?

T- Bone 05-26-2006 11:23 AM

Sorry guy's I hurt my back and have been laid up for a week or so. I will look into it. I would hate to miss this trip.
