What the f*** is up with my shoulder??

Starting about two weeks ago while I was barbell benching, I started having a little irritation in my shoulder. Not sharp pain but more of a burning sensation. More like a bruised feeling. I don't go super heavy just to avoid these types of injuries. Certain presses will bring out the irritation, but dumbbell presses won't. I've gone through all the tests posted all over the internet and youtube to tell if something is torn or not. Again, no sharp pain. WTF is going on? Just a strain?

Maybe a torn rotator cuff. It's the most common injury while benching. I did that to mine.
How tall are you?
Do you touch your chest?

6'5" and I do let the bar touch my chest. But at the bottom of the rep my wrists are directly over my forearms. Not like I have a crazy wide grip and put all the stress on the shoulders. I went to the chiropractor and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. I guess it's just a strain. No swelling or discoloration.

I hurt mine by going all the way down to my chest. It's a possibility. Take a week or so off and see how it feels.

Get someone to check your form. Because I can move my elbows to a different angle and it won't hurt as bad. It really depends what you hurt in the rotator cuff.

Take a break....don't work it. I had the same type of thing happen to me and I rushed back into working out....it got a bit worse. I've now been idle for one week and it's making progress, still hurts at just the right angle. I'm giving it at least one more full week to see what happens. Mine hurt the most when doing over head tricep extensions, and then after rushing back push ups hurt as well. As hard as it is not to rush back I'm giving it all the time it needs now....I'm just hopeful that one more week is all it needs.
