I realized my problem is

1: I jump up the weights too much. 185 up to 205 was fine. But when I went from 205 to 225, it didn't budge. Dropped back down to 205 and got it easily. Then did 215, was hard, but went up. Put on 225 and it went up.

2: Sometimes I spend too long in the starting position and I psych myself out. For 215 and 225, I just walked up to it and picked it up.

Well I've been sick for the past two days. Ended up missing my leg day and may not be able to deadlift tomorrow. We will see. If I do, it's week 9. 1x1 at 230, 2x3 at 165, 2x5 at 155 power shrugs, and 2x5 at 185 RDL.

Deadlifted today. Only got 205. Couldn't even get 210 WITH a belt. It was completely pathetic. I tried 215 probably 10 times before I dropped down to 210. Then when I failed that I just gave up. I think that's the first time during this whole program I didn't get a lift and I'm honestly upset. I'm still a little under the weather, but that's not an excuse for barely getting 20lbs LESS than last week. Ugh. ****.

God damnit. I'm getting really ****ing tired of these ****ty gym sessions. Just tried doing chest. After 6 sets of flat bench and incline dumbbell press I had no signs of a pump like usual. Tried flat dumbbell press and the first set on 35 ****ing pounds killed my shoulder again. I mean, for ****s sake this is getting annoying. It's like my entire body just ****ing quit working properly.

I used to be able to rep 365 on squat. Now I'm lucky to get 275 for a 4 set without hurting my knees. **** happens when we don't take the time to heal/recover properly. Plus you've been sick, lifts always suffer after a cold and whatnot.

Idk. I hope. It's just really frustrating that a week of being sick destroyed 8 weeks of progress.

Louie Simmons always stresses that your max is the max for that day. Look into body weight training. Zach even esh went to it when he was sore and brought him back big time. Also make sure you're getting proper warm up, mobility and recovery. http://bodyweightbodybuildingsecrets.com. http://zacheven-esh.com/5-shoulder-h...ey-rxd-for-me/

Nah, it didn't. It will only take a couple weeks to get back to where you were.

I'm just starting back and already deadlifting 90% of what I could handle before.

Came home this weekend and actually had a really good back session yesterday. To my surprise, I did 15 pull-ups! Last time I could only do like 6 and I've just been doing deadlifts, rows, and underhand pulldowns for back.

It felt good doing a bodybuilding workout instead of strength training. Plus now I'm almost as strong as my buddy who's much bigger

Just got 205 on deadlift without my belt or a preworkout. I think I'm back. Or at least close.

MuscleTech Phase8 Vanilla absolutely sucks. And it's all I have, so I'm looking for a new protein. ON is always good, but I kinda want something different. I've been looking at Dymatize ISO-100. It's better than ON in just about every way except its like $20 more.

Any suggestions?

Small update. Got 210lbs on deadlift on my first attempt. However, I couldn't get 215 up. Got close, but couldn't get it. Just stopped after a few tries because I was getting sore. Still, I'm getting closer to where I was previously.

Also, I got a new protein. It's called Mountaineer Muscle (for the app state mountaineers). A senior here designed it. 26g of protein, 3g of carbs, 5g BCAA's I believe, natural flavoring (chocolate and vanilla), and no other added sugars or ****. Tastes ****ing amazing too. Better than Gold Standard IMO.
