I never said I'd quit lifting or quit eating clean. I just meant in reference to when I'd post before and "after" pics

Arm day tonight.

Managed 6 x 175 on the free-weight preacher curl machine. Felt pretty good about that!

that's a good indicator that your losing body fat all of your body. And gaining muscle of course.

Damn man. Nice work in under, what 2 months? My friend is 300lbs and wants to get down toward the 225 range. I think I'll show him this for motivation.

Like I mentioned earlier, my friend is 300lbs and needs to lose weight. You tie in lifting with your cutting but I doubt my friend will. What would you recommend him do to lose alot of weight. Just run and eat light stuff?

I think cycling would be better. Running with that much weight can be hard on the joints if they have ran much before.

Well it's hiking season now so I'm thinking we'll start off with that and move on to running. I'd love to start biking because of my feet but I currently don't have a bike.

I have bad joints too but I get by.

Advice
1: do something. It's better than nothing
2: track your food.
3: don't be lazy. You're only going to get results if you put in the work.
4: join a gym.

First thing to do is find his Maint cals. Don't know what his diet is like but I would clean it up before dropping cals. He might drop wt by this alone then slowly cut cals from there. Slow n steady, like Eugene said "something is better than nothing" when it comes to excercise
