It will be interesting to see how this goes. Since muscle weighs more than fat, any person that's in really good physical condition that also lifts really heavy, will now be classified as "obese".

I still don't see how obesity is a disease. It makes me furious that people won't take personal responsibility for anything.

I agree on both counts. I think the BMI scale is totally stupid.

I'm currently borderline overweight and will be when I reach my target weight. Ridiculous.

BMI isn't a good indicator because it doesn't account well for muscle mass.

BF % and size measurement-proportions work better for people like you and me.

You might be "overweight," but you clearly are not obese. Plus, the last time I checked, people who are at "weight" look like ten year old boys...

Keep it up man!

I am not afraid of being obese. I am afraid of a system where the AMA sets standards that say that most of the population has a problem when they don't. A lot do, but they really exaggerated the problem. Then they classify the problem as a disease to give themselves more of our money and more power over the problem. With the IRS now involved in our health care, I am waiting for an "overweight" or "obese" tax imposed on us just for being fit.

A friend loaned me his BMW Z8 for my 46th birthday weekend. The car was amazing. It handles a lot like my little Porsche, but is soooo fast!!!!

It was roomier then it looked, but I did displace a lot of the atmosphere in the car.
