Saw a GI specialist today. He gave me some medicine that essentially is pancreatic enzymes. He says to take one with meals. Up until now, I have not had any real food for about two weeks and have been surviving on Boost Glucose Control shakes. I had soup and salad for dinner with one of the pills and I am fine so far.

The place I went was a facility that specializes in GI, and has around six doctors, maybe more. The doctor I saw today is referring me to one of his colleagues to do an endoscopic ultra sound which will be able to determine if I have strictures in my pancreatic ducts. If so, which my regular doctor believes is the case, then I will get stents installed at a later date. The ultra sound will also be able to detect things like a psuedocyst and problems with nearby organs. I think they may do a biopsy as well.

They are supposed to call me to set up an appointment.

The doctor I saw seemed very concerned, which is a good thing. I feel like I am good hands. He also seems like a guy I could be really good friends with.
