It's all relative, the guys I lift with warm up with my max some times . I had the gym owner work on my form and it added 40lbs to my deadlift. Same thing with squats... except it was the opposite :D. I used to "squat" like 335lbs, but after the gym owner laughed at me and my form, he corrected it and had me dropping below 90 degrees, which killed my max, but improved my growth.

Yep. I started squatting a couple month ago in my weight training class. Then I watch some YouTube videos and realized I was being a ***** in my squats. Now I drop all the damn way down, sometimes hitting the bar on the rack. And I did RDLs in class, then added rack pulls a couple weeks ago to match my RDL. Now I can do a damn good one. Not perfect, but better than 99% of the people doing them in the gym here.

Saw a dude barely bending his knees when he was squatting 185. He was looking at me like I was a *****. I was so tempted to say "touch your *** to your heels and tell me how much weight you can do." Chicken ****...

In 2006 my left biceps tendon came off the bone. I stopped lifting after the surgery until about a year and a half ago. I donít go as heavy as I used to, so I am giving my max weights for before and now.

All time max.

Weight 240lbs
Bench press 505x1
Dumbell curl 100x3
Squat 600x3

Max now.

Weight 215lbs
Bench press 405x1
Dumbell curl 80x3
Squat 405x5

Squatting and dead lifts make everything stronger.

I regret not starting these exercises sooner. Once you nail the technique, they'll be your favorite exercises. :-)
