The way your body looks will be based roughly 75% diet, 25% training. Keep that in mind while you train for your competition.

Think of every meal as a training session and you'll stay more focused on following a strict diet.

Every healthy meal is you getting closer to being shredded. Every time you cheat, you make yourself softer.

Remember: EVERYTHING you do is a step towards or away from your goals.

Diet is definitely going to be the hard part. But so far I'm sticking to it. Did some meal prepping last night! Just gonna be tough working my meals into being at work.

Yeah, I don't really understand why he says only three eggs. Which is why this is my breakfast:

1 packet of plain oatmeal, half a scoop of cinnamon swirl whey, and half a cup of egg whites. 31g of protein.

At ~70g of protein already.

Packet of oatmeal with 2/3 scoop oh cinnamon swirl whey, and a milk chocolate shake with egg whites instead of water. After class I'll be having a handful of pistachios before the gym and a shake after. That's 100g by lunch time with some good carbs and fats

Back in the gym today for chest, shoulders and tris. I was so excited to lift today that I forgot the gym doesn't open til 12, and I was there at 10:30. Now I'm sitting in my apartment wired on preworkout lol.

After the first few days on the new diet and routine I had dropped from 165 to 163. Now, I'm up to 167.5 and don't really feel any "fatter" for lack of a better word. I have definitely gotten stronger. At home this weekend I hit 135 on bench for 6 reps on the third set. Then last night I hit back and got 150 for 4 on lat pulldowns and 170 for 4 on seated rows. Other lifts have gone up as well, just can't be bother to type them all lol.

Overall good progress.

Couple new PR's. 190x4 on seated cable row, 120lb dumbbell for 5 on rows, 130x8 on wide grip pulldowns, 12 clean pull-ups, and I think that's it. Very happy.

Up to 169lbs now. Definitely some fat in there because thanksgiving but still making good gains. I look about the same, but my legs feel bigger. Hitting back tonight.

I also got myself a gorpro, so I'll be making videos occasionally.

Is your friends dad also planning your workouts?

Doing chest and shoulders on the same day sounds painful to me :/

Yes he is, for the most part. I'm changing a few things.

I like it. I feel like my triceps take over too much in shoulder presses so doing chest first preexhausts them. I definitely get a much better workout doing shoulders on chest day.

Just hit a new PR of 185lbs on squat. Still not very impressive but at least 225 is in sight.

I've always felt the need to I've 2 or 3 days rest after chest before doing my shoulder workout. I'm glad it's working for you!

I laughed pretty hard on the leg day note about if you don't feel like you're gunna puke, you're not working hard enough. Hahaha
