HIIT for cardio, cut out fats and junk food, eat healthy. Want to still lift? Ex: 4x13-25 reps. 5/6 days a week of training. You burn more calories in a day lifting then doing just cardio. But you burn more calories while in your 'workout' when your doing cardio not lifting. So doing both is the best way to go.
meal replacement shakes are high in protein and carbs and are good for those of us in weight gain and those trying to maintain. Doesn't mean it's wrong to use them sparingly when in a cutting phase, but focus more on making your meals and planning on eating at proper times. 4 or so small meals a day.
