Bump....

Im thinking about doing this myself but have to talk to my doctor first. I have a slight heart condition (heart will beat around 180 times a minute for no reason and not slow down) and want to make sure this wont kill me. I kind of wonder if this will help get my heart in better shape and prevent futher issues down the road. I thought about trying to get two rounds of Insanity in by next spring/summer beach season. Im skinny(170 lbs) but would like to be fitter and in better shape.

You know it actually might help. When I was little I had pretty bad asthma. Once I got into all the school sports I could find I feel like it burned out.

Haven't used a inhailer in like 10 years.

So with this workout what kind of or brand of shake should I get to help with muscle building and muscle recovery.

What condition do you have? Do you have an implanted device to shock it back into normal rhythm or do you head to the ER?

This could easily be its own entire thread..

For help with muscle building, you can take a pre-workout for help with performance and thus higher gains. I have had very good results with MusclePharm Assault, and would suggest it as about the only pre-workout I would trust, from my own experience.

If you aren't looking for anything quite that intense, you can always just up your protein and BCAA intake, which you should be doing whether you're taking a pre-workout or not. Whey protein and creatine are easily available and, when taken regularly, can help produce good muscle gains as well.

As far as muscle recovery goes, I will again mention my go-to brand: MusclePharm. Their product Recon is top quality, and leaps and bounds ahead of anything else Ive tried. Although, if you're looking for something a little simpler, the recovery drink from BeachBody isn't half bad.

Hope this helps ya bud

Did the fit test yesterday. Holy ****. Hopefully I'll stick with this.
I ordered Shakeology. I did p90x for a year and wouldn't buy it, everyone that pushes it seems to be associated with Beach Body somehow. Wasn't sure how creditable it was. I'm giving it a shot this time around though.
The plan is Shakeology for breakfast and just whey protein post workout. We'll see. How's everyone else doing?

Definately insane. I did 1 month and got busy with work but stuck with their meal plan. Started in October and I'm down 45lbs now and still losing. Started at 237 at 191 right now. Gotta get back on the program and tone up all my weight loss.

Didn't follow the workout plan. But stuck out the meal plan. 4.5 months in and down 63lbs 237lbs down to 174lbs... Still ugly, but much lighter and off blood pressure meds.

I'm planning on joining the US Army, and I am buying Insanity. I went to MEPS over a year ago at 220 lbs, but passed everything else...

I'm 5' 10" and around 250 lbs now, but a lot of it was gained when I was out of work for about 4 months...

I need to get to about 200 lbs, so I think the cardio and what not in insanity will help me drop that 50 lbs... I might have to do the 60 day workout twice, but I am pretty sure it'll help me drop down to the weight I need, right?
