It says it has 30 servings and for $60 that's a good deal. I agree that they're too expensive but it'd be hard for me to gain anything just by eating regular food.

Now add up nutritional values for that gainer, then compare to $60 worth of chicken and rice or steak n taters. It's a no brainier for me

x2. This is so important. You can get the same calorie intake with real food at a fraction of the cost. My post workout shake (winter gainer) was 1075 cal, 60g pro, 60g carb, 30g fat and almost 1g of potassium...all this at probably $1/serving..and its real food

Its a rip off. Which WG are you taking that has 30 servings? Usually they have 10-15 like the one you posted earlier. 11 servings for $60.

You need to look at what you are eating, and how often. You can get an extra 200 cals from just 2 tblsp of EVOO...you can add that to a shake and you wont even know its in there. Its all about the macronutrients.

The one I posted earlier had the serving size at 3.5 scoops. There's 30 servings...

Either way yes it's a waste of money but I don't have control over what gets cooked at my house. My mom handles all the food buying/cooking. I asked her to buy more chicken and pasta but she forgets.

Last I checked canned tuna, chicken and salmon can be had on the cheap. Rice is cheap too, I use ramen noodles all the time, also dirt cheap. Even tho it's packed w/ cals it's still a SUPPLEMENT, whole foods first.

What??!!! How do you think old time strongmen got to be strong? Whole foods! Wasn't any supps in their day. When you have ate so much chicken and rice that u puked and still swallowed it for the 2nd time and can't gain then u use a gainer

I know. Alot of people don't get it.

I guess you can say I have a "traditional" style family. The mom does ALL the grocery shopping and all the cooking. We eat as a family every night. It wouldn't make sense for me to go buy all my own food and cook it. The best I can do is say "Hey mom, you need to pick up some more chicken and pasta. Thanks."

add a small glass of milk (10oz) , and you've got the same calories as your weight gainer.
