Error in signature being too long.

This isn't the first time I've had trouble in editing my signature. And believe there's some quirk in the jeepforum.com software in regards to a paying member's account changes.

Actually I wasn't trying to lengthen my existing signature but shortening it by deleting one of my Jeeps.

I get the following errors/prompts which don't think are correct.

"The following errors occurred with your submission."

"1. Your signature cannot be longer than 400 characters including BB code markup."

"96 4.0 ZJ Laredo, 2004 4.7L WJ Limited, 96 4.0 XJ (son's)

-Stalling ZJ? 12 things to check before replacing a sensor; the Dirty Dozen
-Crankshaft position sensor multimeter test. &
."

What's the deal when I'm allowed to have the above signature and don't believe it's over 400 characters? Then when I shorten it by deleting one of my Jeeps it says it's too long which doesn't make any sense.

I'm in the middle of this with another tab open and wouldn't doubt I may lose my signature altogether.

Thanks for any help on this issue.

Edit. Well guess I didn't lose my signature but still don't know how to remove the "93 4.0 XJ (spare)" I had to sell. The video is just showing up because of the link in the last part of my signature.

Hey uniblurb,

I was able to remove that for you. It looks like it's sticking so that's good news. I only removed the "93 4.0 XJ (spare)" part - let us know if there's anything else we can help with.

Thanks,
Nate

Even lifers have a shortened sig. I've only made 2 changes to it in years. But I got mods to do them for me. I like my sig the way it is.
