Winch Plate Sketch

So im gonna have my winch plate made by a friend instead of paying a buttload of money. I searched and couldnt find any sketches, so i made one myself. Im not sure if its all right and if im missing any measurements or if some are wrong. Any help is appreciated.

THANKS

edit: sorry for the small azz writing. from the top question to the bottem it says:
is this the right distance for the two hook mounts, my measurement was pretty rough i had it at 1 3/8"
how fair apart are the fairlead bolt holes?
how big does the opening have to be?

Yep.. you need the bolt holes that catch the front swaybar bracket bolt holes. You're winch mounting holes are correct. However, keep in mind the forward winch bolts will be sitting on top of your bumper so you'll likely have to add a spacer or few washers under the plate to keep it even and allow the bolt to fit above the bumper. You also want to make sure the plate is positioned fore/aft correctly so it doesn't interfere with the sway bar... or allow the winch to hit the sway bar.

Here's one I cut out last night.. This might help you get an overall perspective of the bolt hole layout.

BESRK that plate is awesome, the speed holes seal the deal. Must be nice to have a plasma table.

You need to reference the holes or at least one set of holes from some point, the Datum Point.
Than all of the other measurements fall in place.
Let say one corner of the plate for both the top view and the front view.

Haven't really worked out a design for the CJs yet. I started with the TJ since it's the most common bumper that I sell. I will work out a CJ winch plate mount soon though. Same basic upper plate but ties into the side of the CJ frame rails.

Keep me posted. Are u going to design it with your front bumper mounting points in mind?

Yep... pretty easy actually since the CJs mount the winches to the side of the frame. You can kind of stay away from the bumper mounting points so it won't interfere with the bumper setup.
