where to get diamond plate?

I am looking to build a cover for the trunk of my JKU out of diamond plate.

I think I will only need a 4'x4' sheet which I found for only $120 shipped but it says it is. 045" 17 gauge...

Will this be too flimsy? I feel like I need either .125" or to use a piece of wood to back it which I do not want to.

Does anyone know where I can get a thicker piece for a reasonable price or is. 045 ok?

Www.metaldepot.com sells it thicker but they want an outrageous amount for shipping...

I would back it with wood anyway for strength and also sound deadening.
