for those of you that have built your own longarms similiar to T&T, RCX, and claytons, what rubber bushings/sleeve are JJ did you go with? Ive looked at Johnny joints, Rustys flex ends, and balistics forged joints. Which joints do most of you run, what size, and where did you get them?
Also Im planning on using 2" DOM with 0.25" wall for the lowers, but what size should I use on the uppers?
Thanks, I hadnt looked at trail gear yet, they seem to have great prices. Should I use a creeper joint or factory style bushing in the upper arm where it attaches to lower arm?
What do you guys think of the joints that ruffstuff specialties makes? I was set on those til I checked out the creeper joints. I really want a grease fitting and didn't see that the ruff stuff were available with them.
Not the best choice for a rig that's gonna see much street time. Heims transmit alot more vibration that a flex joint/bushing combo. They usually don't last as long either.
Can't beat the qaulity and longevity of good heim joint. If you are worried about vibrations transfering add a bushing on the frame end...
1.25" heim on the lowers with a poly bushing on the frame. Don't mind the bends, it was a comp rig with a few hard rolls than ended up bending them in under 4 months
