It is more the time spent at it than the type, our machines run about a 60% arc on time, so lots of smoke to breathe in a typical day.

All these nice tables, and here I am with my cheapo Harbor Freight welding table. LOL

Its actually pretty good for what I spent (~$60), other than the plastic feet that cracked off right out of the box. The joys of a 1 car garage. Eventually I'll have a shop and a nicer table
