I actually did the double nut trick. I am in the process tonight of adding two front feet and a front lift handle instead of two front casters. Will be painted blue by the end of the week.

The cart looks good & functional. I did not read if you solved the wheel nut issue, if not try using a flat washer and a self locking nut (with a nylon insert), also be careful of the front wheels. the mounting tabs may try to bend up if there is to much weight on them. you may want to add a small brace to both sides.
Otherwise great work!

Both solved in the previous post

The tabs are fine, the wheels themselves failed.

NO, still using it as is. I plan to button that up this weekend and give her a coat of paint. I have finally been able to start finishing up my jeep as well.

Well Rusty I've been working on mine since I last posted and it sat dormant for a while but this past week I've been working hard on it. I found some old display racks and a broken door off of a cardboard baler to use for square stock. I also went with your idea of the garden cart. My mom had one that she wasn't using and donated it. I stole your idea off your cart of the rack for the clamps and grinders, that worked great. Its almost done just have to add some hooks on the side for cables, and loops or attachment points for when its being trailered and strapped down. Should be done next week as soon as I finish I will post a pic. Thanks again man for the inspiration. Make sure you post those pics of yours all painted up!

Looks nice. I dig the pictures in the living room. I recently built a cart too. All with a torch except some of the metal attachments are done after i got the mig. I do most of the welding I do in the garage so i dont really need one of the typical welding style carts. If i need to weld out in the driveway I just grab the welder and tank on a dolly with a long extension cord.

This is what I have so far. I've got a couple of the smaller things finished since these pics. I only have a couple more loose ends then paint.

Yeah I know how it looks it was a concern of mine too, but I have to go up a ramp and over a ledge to get into the shed and it has never once lifted a tire off the ground. It takes three men and a boy to lift that damn miller and it keeps the bottom of that cart planted firmly on the ground. If I didn't have that on the bottom I'm sure it would be a different story. I'm just tired of bending over to pick whatever tool I need or adjust the welder, thats why everything is higher. It was built to compensate for my laziness.

Rusty got the cart all painted, finally one of my projects is done!

Also after I stood out in the yard trying to tip over my cart, (thanks for putting that one in my head) I realized how in the hell am I going to get this thing up the ramps onto the trailer? Heres my solution 1 inch receiver for the cart

winch for the rear to pull it up the ramps. now the setup for the winch is not pretty but it was scrap junk I had laying around and its not going to be on the cart only when I'm loading it on the trailer. also paint will help
