Yea, that lasted all of a day. I was politely asked to get my crap out of the living room.

Thanks rusty you just lit a fire under my a**! I need one to hold my miller arc welder (man that thing is old and heavy!) and my wire feed with a spot for a future bottle. Only thing I need is some all terrain tires on it because I just have a little shed and no concrete or pavement to roll around on, mostly working in the dirt. I love the spots for clamps and the box on the front. You don't mind if I steal a couple of your ideas for mine do ya Nice job

Thanx man. Its working out great for holding almost everything. I am in the same situation as you. All of my stuff is in the basement and I work in an uneven driveway.

I found out the hard way today that the front casters I got DO NOT hold up to what they are rated for. Snapped one of the centers right off the bearing. Time for bigger wheels I guess.

I was thinking maybe a 5" wheel something like this
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=2614
its supposed to hold up to 220 lbs so that should be sufficient. I need it to roll across the rocks and up the ramp of the shed and over the lip without flipping over. I think its time to start looking for a old display or rack or something somebody is throwing out to cut up and transform into a welding rack. Pirates don't buy metal its agaist the pirate code.

Yea, I am actually going to swing thru HF tomorrow after I return these crappy wheels to TSupply. I will check those out. You may also want to look into one of those metal garden carts. I also have discovered that I maybe should have made the cart just a few inches shorter and one or two wider. It seems a little top heavy. This could also be due to the crappy weak wheels I had on the front.

I will report back tomorrow on those wheels if they are any good or not.

The carnage:

I would add a bracket to hold the bottle better, sort of a pocket of some sort.

Good call, I am actually going to be bending some 1.5" X 3/16" flat stock in class tonight in the shape of the cylander. I figured out I can fit two on back side by side so I will make somewhat of a rack. Then I will have a clamp of some sort with a hinge that will finish the wrap around to hold the cylander tight to the cart.

I hope you did not weld the cart together with the Miller 180 that will go on the cart! Those machines that "build" themselves can get smarter and take over Earth a lot faster than machines we build. Be careful. I hope you have seen the "Terminator" series of movies. Beware the machine!

Nice Job, Good Ideas.

Did you get any ideas on the rear tire nuts.

How about Buying some Castle Nut, the ones with the slots in them and use cotter pins ?
How about double nutting ?

Just thinking out loud.
