The question that you should be asking is, how thick is the metal I will be welding ?

Then you can decide which welder you need and the pay the price.

Buying a welder on price alone and later deciding it won't weld what you want it to, is no way to get started.

Think it through first, save more $$$ if you have too and get a machine that will do what you need now and in the future.

Also, consider sticking to a name brand, i.e. (my choice) Miller, Hobart, Lincoln, these will give you a long life and good service. More people own name brands and can help you if you have a problem.

Don't buy something that is a bargin welder, usually they do not hold up. Things you can't see like ttransformers and poor assembly practices will defeat any $$$ - bargin welder you can find.

Later and Luck on your buy.
