Welder?

I'm looking into getting a welder to learn a new trade I was at Canadian Tire and saw a Lincoln Mig Pak 15. Its $750 Can, and 220V.
Quick specs are:
* 230V
* Welds light gauge up to 5/16" mild and stainless steel and aluminum
* Includes 2-lb spool of .025" solid wire, gun and cable assembly
* Also included work clamp and cable, welding shield, spare contact tips and video
* Can be used for .035" gasless flux cored wire
* Welding setting guide inside wire feed door

Just wondering if this would be powerful enough to build bumpers and rockers, tube work etc? Or should I look for something more?

Take a class at your local Vocational School and learn about the different type of welding/cutting methods. Find out what you like and what you want to learn then buy the equipment....MHO

At least two-thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity: idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religous or political ideas.
