vista roof

hey guys i was looking online at ways to open up the roof of my xj and stumbled on a ford flex. I like the vista window it has and so i bought some plexiglass and tomorrow im gonna fab up some c-channel to hold it in place. im gonna keep the stock overhead braces but cut out the sheetmetal between them. ill try to take pics of the progress and post them up as i go.

I can tell you that in the 20+ years I have been wheeling my own rigs, I have never torn a soft top while wheeling. The hole I get are from trips to Lowes, Home Depot or yard sales.

sorry guys I havent been on in a while due to getting t-boned in my last jeep. I bought a new one so now that I got it back to where I had my last one I might think about this mod again. I think after a lot of research I'm going to do a full interior roll cage before I hack up the top.
