Trailer Rebuild

So I got this trailer and im rebuilding it, it had hydraulic breaks and no lic. Or title, no break lights, and no wiring.
I’ll be striping it down and repainting it, also removing the hydraulic breaks and adding electric breaks, adding taillights and lic. Plate, getting title for it and a new bed. Adding tie down points too..

So far I have removed the break system and found out that the driver side rotor didn’t have breaks and was gutted, but passenger side did have everything. Did light sanding and bought the electric breaks and taillights, also got the 7 way pig tail.i also but a jack and foot for it.

Looks like it was a boat trailer in its previous life.

i thought it was too but some one rebuilt it as a flat triler with a plywood deck and when i got it is was just peices of wood and plywood here and there.

i play on puting a steel deck on it and keeping it to haulstuff but i may end up selling it

If your going to use it other than a boat trailer,i'd move the axle forward to distribute the weight more onto the axle..as it sits, most of the weight will be on the tongue/vehicle

I agree with IW709. On the other hand, if you're gonna fix it then sell it you might want to sell it as a boat trailer. The last pic you have it looks to be in much better shape!

If you do move the axle, do not weld on galvanized metal.
