Tow Bar Fab

I just finished my front bumper and a beach trip is coming up. I want to tow my TJ behind my Tahoe, so I want to fabricate a tow bar to tie into the clevis mounting tabs already on my bumper.
I am thinking about buying a hitch at Tractor Supply or one of those places and bolting it with grade 5 bolts to the tow bar. I was thinking of making the brackets to attach to the clevis mounitng tabs out of 1/4 steel with a clevis pin with washers through the holes. Any ideas of stock to use for the bars themselves? I was thinking of 1.5" square tubing.
