Taxes should be back this week, so hoping to pull the trigger on something soon.

Nice !

I was mistaken on the CFM requirements. Air requirements: 75psi @ 4.0cfm
for the cutter....so more than enough coming out of the compressor

Looking good!

Have you given thought to "dry air" for the plasma? Air dryer, Motorguard..etc. ?

My "plan" is to use the inline decissant filter along with an auto drain plug on the tank to start with. Dollars and cents are the only reason. After May(vacation) I'm thinkin I'm gonna get one of the Harbor Freight air dryers with a 20% off coupon

Toss a Motorguard on it for under $100.

I use a couple cheap water separators and a Motorguard. The factory water separator on the back of the plasma cutter doesn't even form a drop of moisture in it.. even when cutting for several hours at a time.

The day was beautiful outside...opened up the shop door and worked in the sun...was awesome. So, I didn't have a "space" to put the PC and controller for the plasma, and rather than spend more money I recycled the wood from the crate the table came in I'm no "woodworker"...but I thought it cam out well. I'm going to pick up some hinges tomorrow and make some doors for the front. Then I'll put the PC in there to hopefully keep it out of the dust.

I had another DXF that I made some g-code for and plugged it into the Mach3 machine software. Video was long, so just a few shots:

and the final product:

Very excited !

Next up is plumbing the air compressor. Still waiting on the plasma machine.....

Ya, you got me thinking now. I pulled steppers off my lathe so I could do some threading a couple weeks ago. Thinking I have everything except longer ball screws here to do a quick and dirty CNC Plasma Table here.

I run Mach 3 here too. You using Lazy Cam?

By chance do you know the inch lbs torque of your steppers or servo's?

23's or 34's?

The drawing software is called Hycad
The processing software is SheetCam
The machine software is Mach3

Here is the motor that runs the X and Y axis

And the Z axis:
