Thanks , and the kids do love the trailer . We are all excited to get it out and go camping because it gives us so many more options than we had before .

The aluminum has come in for the tonneau and while I have a clear vision of how I am going to make it I am not as sure about the finish . I like the idea of white because it would keep the heat down in the trailer , but I also like the idea of painting it to match the hood . And theres also the thought of a matte aluminum finish ?

Heres an awful chop I did using ms paint to show what it would look like if it was white .

nah **** that - color match it or straight black. It won't affect the heat as much as you think.

Color match would be good , just floating ideas before its time to cover it up . I had a friend suggest covering it in black diamond vinyl that would match the soft top , that might look nice ... and it would hide my potentially ugly aluminum welds .

I think the black diamond vinyl would look great. Just makes it match the Jeep even more.

When it was mentioned to me I thought it was a neat idea . I have a friend checking on the price for me but I am not sure how difficult it will be to get the corners wrapped correctly .

The proposed radius for the tonneau corner .

The tonneau looks a little funny all squared up . Once the train table is nailed and glued up I will try to get some work done on the tonneau and the LJ .

Maybe have it sprayed with a Bedliner? I'd like to do a cover like that, what are the specs on the aluminum?

The cover is 1/8" 3003 aluminum that I had my local machine shop break the edges for me . I like the durability of the bedliner , but as nice as the trailer turned out I think the top will most likely get paint matched to the tub with a while pinstripe sort of like the hood . I still really like the idea of the vinyl covering to match the soft top , but I dread peeling it off in five years when it starts coming apart.

Thats a neat build you have going on , I have been reading along as it goes together . I definitely have cooler envy !

Got my matching rims in and mounted today .

The rims are the same model and manufacturer as what I have on the LJ . But after installing them the size of the holes are slightly different . I can live with it as the difference is very minor and they are shiny
