TJ Safe-T-Cap Repair
I just bought a used jeep only to find the frame has rot where the axle and sway bar connect (you can see I don't know a ton about frames by the language I used to describe that). In any case, my mechanic is going to fasten the Safe-T-Cap ART-124 Rear Trailing Arm Mounts to the frame.
Will this repair reinforce my frame enough to do some basic trail riding without worrying about my frame cracking or something like that.
could you post pics of where the rot is? create a photobucket account and upload them there. then copy the image tag into here.
i think youre describing the control arm, not the sway bar... and ive never heard of this "safe-t-cap"... in any case, pics would help a ton!
nvm, i searched safe-t-cap, didnt see a 124 but by looking thru theyre product line it looks like its a legit repair option... id fish plate the weld joints tho
