i have had a number of comments about that haha. i wired each switch in the exact same order, so all i need to remember is which switch lines up with which wires...which is pretty simple. might get around to labeling it one of these days though.

Go look for Duplicolor spray on bedliner. Comes in aerosol cans and is more textured than what you have, but less than herculiner. I have it on my rockers and front bumper, it's definitely durable.

One question, though - do you have any problems with bumping your head on it?

I hope you do not mind but i am stealing your idea....well i had the idea before you have just been the closest to my idea I have seen so far. Using this as a guide, probably will only be using metal though. will let you know how it goes

Small update:

I ditched the blue crossmember for a simple piece of rounded metal that sits snug on top of the loop in the windshield frame. This allows me to easily remove the top, which was an issue with the crossmember. Aside from that i am quite pleased with it and have not had any other issues.

I'll get around to posting pictures of it in a few weeks when i put the soft top back on.

I am impressed. Of course a carpenter will use wood for a project. Myself I would use metal. Aluminum to be precise. Nice job. looks great and I like the ingenuity with the electrical wiring and connectors.

I used the Duplicolor spray on liner on a rollcage, and it chipped super easy. Maybe I didn't do thick enough coats or something. Rolled over it with Herculiner and was much happier.

Console looks great!

Hey man, do you have a soft top or hard top. I have an 05 with a soft top and was wondering if it would cause problems to make an overhead console similar to this.
