New to the forum, but I've been back to this thread quite a few times before I decided to sign up. I finally found that lock searching around online. It's a Keyed Hasp lock. Here are the links to it at both HomeDepot and Lowes:

Defender Security 4 in. Chrome Keyed Hasp - U 9951 at The Home Depot

Shop Gatehouse 4-1/2" Chrome Plated Locking Hasp with Screws at Lowes.com

Hope that helps some folks out. I'll be using one on the center console for my M-715

Thanks again,

well, new to the board, but I've come to this thread about 100 times. I finally found those locks. They're keyed hasp locks. Here's the links to them at both HomeDepot and Lowes:

The Home Depot - Error

Shop Gatehouse 4-1/2" Chrome Plated Locking Hasp with Screws at Lowes.com

Hope that helps you out. I'm making an ammo can center console for my M715 and wanted to use this type of lock specifically...took a while to find it though

got the locks for mine. I'm in the process of putting together the center console...has to wait while I finish the seat brackets for my new seats before it gets installed though.

I'm using a 1500rd 7.62 ammocan. Because it open froms both sides, I had to weld the latch on one side on and then cut off the stop that wraps up around the edge of the top on that side. Here's the pictures with the lock installed:
