thoughts on the hobart handler 120?

i found this add and am looking to buy a welder does anyone have any experience with this welder
heres the add Hobart Welder c/w Mac tools cart & Tank North Nanaimo, Nanaimo

If this is going to be your only welder, you may want to move up to the Hobart 185. It requires 22ov wiring, but the bigger welder makes welding a lot easier for a newbie welder. The 110 machine will work on most things, but it isn't as easy to use and it requires a little more work and skill to use than a 220V machine. I have known several people that started with a 110V machine, then quickly out grew it.

oic well i wouldn't really say that im a newbie ive done welding classes for the last two years of high school and i have a 220 stick but its old and the cords are brutal i was more just wondering if this welder will get the job done because it comes with a bottle and everything

For that price you can get a hobart handler 187 (220V machine) at tractor supply for $599. You are only looking at another $100 for a decent size bottle at your local welding supply. Most places will give you a discount because you are a student welder.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Northern Tool had a black friday deal for a Hobart Handler 140 and a welding cart for $440.

Actually, they still have the same deal for $480. Free shipping and free welding cart.
