Third row seats or 5 passengers in a tj?

Hi jeepers, Ive been wanting to get a jeep for a super long time now and the only thing thats been holding be back is the Tj's are only a 4 seater and I need a 5 seater? is it possible to fit a new rear seat in that has a lap belt? or maybe a third row seat??? Ive googled it and only JK's are 5 seaters but I dont have enough to afford a Jk.

Im confused

Even with an LJ, I think another row would be way too cramped. JK or XJ (or ZJ or WJ, I guess, if you're into that sorta thing) is your best bet.

I spent some time in Moab with 2 TJ's that had 3 passengers (with seat belts) in the back. I was thinking of copying their setup in my YJ, but when I looked, I saw that the TJ seat is MUCH wider than the YJ seat.

In short, I know it's possible for a TJ.

I added a third seatbelt to My YJ a couple years ago for My three kids. Now the kids have grown and I ended up cutting My wheel wells and fabing a TJ rear seat into the back of her. The kids fit again. The lap belt I got from Auto zone and bolted it to the floor along with the other two belts.

Your best bet is to look at an old land cruiser and possibly copy that seat seat up. They have a far better use of space in the rear than any jeep. I have been considering converting mine over to that style, it is far more versatile.
