Talk to your local welding supply shop? First thing I would do personally.

Blah blah blah blah.

Under the specs tab on your model welder says 1/4 alum. with spool gun...

.

Life with Christ can be explained like a Jeep...
Being in the Word... grows your tire size.
Prayer... gains more ground clearance.
Fellowship... Is like having a good spotter.

The more of these you have... the easier it is to get over obstacles in your path.

I guess you don't know that your MM180 is rated at the same amp & duty cycle as that spool gun.

If your welder won't do it then the spool gun won't either.

To say "yes" this spool gun will weld 1/4" material then yes it will.

Here's Millers picture to show the thickness of material both units will weld.

I didn't know if a spool gun made a difference in what thickness material I could weld or not.I will never weld aluminum thicker than 1/4 so I am golden!
