Sourcing a 1-1/4"-12 Left hand tap

Anyone know where I can find a 1-1/4"-12 left hand taper tap for a good price?

Or does anyone have one I can borrow for a week?

I'm having a hell of a time finding anyone that has one in stock..most places I've looked don't keep anything above 1" in stock..

Just a guess but if your trying to bore and tap aluminum control arms. Just let someone else do it, I tried one, Im over it. lol If your really wanting a tap though ebay has one for $65. Thats gonna be a bit of a stretch to find one in your town in stock.

Id imagine it would probably be a little more enjoyable to tap aluminum arms with the right machinery. Good luck to you sir.

Now that right there is a Boss worth working for, little things like that can go a long ways towards improving both moral and productivity.....Kudo's to your Boss, and congatulations, sounds like you've got a good job there.

If it wasn't done the hard way, I didn't do it.

For the next guy looking...McMaster stocks them, but you'd be looking at around $120 delivered

Thanks. He tries his best to keep us happy. I got the job by chance... I was looking for someone to sandblast the TNT tube fenders I got off CL... ended up fixing their sandblaster and compressor to get it done, and walking out with a job. Its great since we have all the cool toys in order to make jeep parts with... well, except for the tube bender I'm making right now...
