snow plow mounting options

i have a cj with about 5 inches of lift and not enough money to buy a snow plow with all of the necessary hardware to touch the ground, so i am going to make one. i am planning on using the d ring tabs on my BTF bumper to mount the arms coming from the blade to. they are 1/2" thick. will they be strong enough to handle a snow plow?
