Hi guys,

Here's a good one for you to figure out. I have a 2004 Rubicon. I wanted to buy seat risers, or make my own, but here's the issue I have. Look at the pictures, this is the front right foot of the driver seat . Notice how it is on a 45º angle. The other three feet all sit flat as well as the passenger seat and will accommodate the rises every one seems to be using. When the seat is lifted up this hole goes out of alignment. Has anyone ever seen this before. Everyone I tell about this says I'm looking at in wrong, you tell me. WTF!

just had mine made at my dads work! i put in the drivers side (i made em for both) and the hardware store was out of the grade 8 so il have to go somewhere to get the passenger bolts. I used rustoleom spray on bed liner :thumb: and it turned out great!

Just did mine, 1.5 inchers. I'm 6' even and I wanted to sit higher to be able to see more of the hood. What suprised me is how much more comfortable my whole body is, especially the way my legs and feet are more flat to the ground. My left leg was uncomfortable before and I was thinking of making some kind of dead pedal, but I think this solved it. My 5' zero wife will definitely like it better, maybe she'll only need one phonebook now!

I did 1.5" but i think it might be too much. Think I might go to 1". Will I need shorter bolts than the ones listed here?

With this mod for those 5'10 or bigger do you have problems with head sticking too high for roll bar safety?

Silly question and it may have been addressed, but why not put the blocks between the Seat and the slider? then you do not have to worry about the brackets at the floor. You could just use 2 12" pieces of stock to go the full length.

Just did this mod a few weeks ago. What a difference, seeing over the hood, elbow fits on window sill. The only down side that much higher to get in.
I just bought this kit, everything included.

+1 for this mod. I made my blocks today at work and I like the difference.

Seat Spacers

Im 5'8" and Im thinking 2" lift, I do agree with you on a bigger foot print for more stability. Thanks for the design it clears things up.

I'm 5'11" and I used 2" square stock. I've had it on for about 6 months now no problems. Still have plenty of head room.
