Rear Crossmember

I have tried to search and can not get it to work so sorry if this is a repeat thread.

I am wanting to replace my stock rear crossmember with a piece of rectangular frame tubing. I want to cut holes out so that the two ends of the frame will slide into the new crossmember and then weld the frame to it.

So I was wondering if anybody had any writeups or pictures of doing this or something similar it. Thanks
