I know this is a pretty simple question, but I couldn't seem to find an easy answer searching through this thread and the others throughout the forum...

What wheel studs do I use to press through the back of the spare tire mounting plate? I swung by a Napa/Oriellys/Advance/etc. store this weekend and asked for wheel studs, but they wanted a vehicle to reference. I know theyr'e 1/2"-20 fine thread, but does anyone have a better answer that I can go from as far as what to use? Thanks!!

I don't frequent this part of the forums so excuse me if i post something dumb

I recently saw this thread http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthrea...hlight=bumpers

and saw this done

My question is, is a swing out +drop down rear stinger feasible? It beats a normal drop down stinger on a daily use basis as it swings out like a normal tire carrier. it still drops down, so no more carrying the wheel.

What supports would wrangler need for this kind of set up?

I think it has been done by two people here. Both of them are posted on this thread too if you want to take the time and scan through all of the posts

I can save at least half the trouble of scanning through all the posts...the yellow rig above is mine, and here is the write-up on the carrier:

Thank ya both for the compliments.
The front is actually a cross between designs.
I have had a good time with people in traffic. Between the stinger & air horn it's a hoot!

I actually just sold my rear bumper, and will be building a new one. If you look at the pics, I didn't factor in having the rear hard top glass open, and the swing out closed. The high lift was 3" to tall. No worries, I'll have a new one built in a few more weeks, and it's gonna be a little different!

Thanks! I figured it was that simple. 1.5" length for reference to anyone with the same question in the future...

would it fit without the hi-lift and mount and stuff though? I never see the point of one. Whats ur lead time lookin at this time of month Besrk? Planning on bumper/tire carriers for my tax return possibly. I like the look of Warns bumper/tire carrier though and yours too.

The Hi Lift/Gas Can Mounts are bolt on with my bumpers.. they don't affect fit at all.

Tax refund bumper orders have me swamped at the moment. My turn around time is 8 weeks out currently.

Lead times "slinky". As they get longer, less people order so you begin to catch up on all the work. As you catch up, the lead time shortens.. which results in more people ordering.. pushing it back out.

Tax time is always busy though.
