plasma cutter

well i finish my work on a friday morning around 9:00 am. headed home and i see a estate sale going on about 6 blocks form my home. well theres a lot of estate sales in the area that are not estate sales, they just say that to get you there. anyway i have nothing to do so i check it out. well it is a estate sale and while looking around i see what looks like a plasma cutter. i ask the guy in charge = is that a plasma cutter ? he says = youd know more about it than me. ok i look at it and asskke if a bottle comes with it to connect to the regulator quick connect on the back, he says it takes a air hose, he know something about it and sounds like more than me. i ask him how much he wants for it and he says = it should be worth $100.00, i ask = does it work and assures me it does. quickly i reach into my wallet but only have $74.00 on me, tel him that and he says = can you get more, i dont say anything but wait a minute than say come on $74.00, he says ok. i wrap the cords up and away i go. get home and start looking the model up on line. cool its a hypertherm powermax 350 and seems that it is right up there with miller, lincoln and hobart. after reading the online manual i go out and whoo it works and works great. since then ive wired a 240 volt outlet for it, is has a 120 / 240 switch. is this a smoking deal or what. can only figure because its small he thought it wasnt worth much.

i think because its small he figured it wasnt worth much. id never heard of hypertherm, since ive searched the web and it seems there a big name, right up there with miller, hobart and lincoln. so yeah i got a smokin deal. have used a a bit now and have to say its saved me a lot of time. the only reason i hadnt bought one is because of the price, considering a name brand new one starts out around $1200.00. amazing what there capable of doing.
