Rixcj - Those are absolutely the heaviest-duty Jeep parts I have ever seen...

Great welding, and seriously - what are those parts?

Jeff

Thanks.

Those are parts that different customers drop off to be welded, then are machined square, and to finish dimensions back at the customers shops.

The larger angle plate looking things are slide plates that electric motors, etc. will be bolted to.

Those two thick channel looking things are just riser pieces for a dirrerent customer, as are the two refurbished rolls.

I used to do this stuff on a full-time basis (for 22 years) but with the economy slumping (in the manufacturing world) I went back to work at a local shipyard as a nuclear pipewelder.

I still do whatever comes through the door here for extra Jeep money.

Rich

Let's get this thread up and kicking again!

I'm on the other end of fabrication now with my job. Now I am an inspector so pics from me will be more sporadic as I'm not fabricating nearly as much anymore.

I just started a TIG welding class last week, one day a week class. Please keep in mind that I have never welded before last week . The first one is from day 1 welding, the rest was done today.
