I like the first one. I bet everyone says the third is strongest.

Safety is the number one reason for building the cage. I'm not as concerned about the aesthetics of it but I don't want some heap of a cage either.

This is the first concept I had before Mike went off and started making sense and being practical.

This one is based a lot off of yours Mike because it looks great.

^ in the dash but much simpler design:

Feel free to be brutal and give me your comments.

What do you have in mind for side flop/roll? triagulate both C and B pillars if possible. Of course I see your /\ for the A

For the B pillar I am going to have a shoulder harness spreader and triangulate the bottom half of that. For the C I was planning on just adding tube gussets from the rear spreader to the top of the C pillar as I want to keep that area open.

Got a really dumb question....How big of hole did you have to cut in your dash to fit the a-pillar floor plate thru it?

I don't look for problems....They find me.

Right here on post #6 are some cage tie in feet:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f37/c...sible-1521971/

One is larger than the other so it will not have a scissor/can opener effect and tear the tub floor in a high pressure situation. using these, you will only need four 7/16" holes though the tub per leg. I put the smaller on top, don't think it matters though, I just had more room under the tub.

I forgot about that, yours may have the 3/8" holes. Might need to run a die grinder through them when you do your final fit up, or is it already done? Did those bumper shackle mounts work? I cut them 1/2" longer now just to get away from them being too close, you never know what size the clevis neck is going to be.

I haven't used the cage mounts yet will on the rock crawler. And the shackle mounts are on the jk and work amazing.

I like that design for an add on cage. I might steal the design, or portions of it.
