I thought about putting one on it but for the moment I'm going to keep the ball coupler. Going to work on the trailer more this weekend. as for cutting the beam down its REALLY short as it is. once I put a tool box there is only about 2.5ft between the coupler and the box.
Oh teamspeak is ts.drunkenrebels.com I'm on it usually everyday my nickname is Johnson soo look for me there.

Maybe the picture made it look longer to me, i didnt know you were putting a box on, and that will help with the looks of it to. If you ever drag the trailer through hilly or rocky wheeling id check into one of those offroad couplers.

Aw I thought I put that some where that I was putting one on. Those off road couplers are awesome. the one I thought about is this http://www.adventuretrailers.com/coupler.html Although I have taken a trailer off road I had no problems even with some crazy angles. I hope tomorrow I can get more done been lazy.

There is a picture of a coupler a guy made on another thread, under "general jeep & offroad equiment" and expedition vehicle.... might want to chek it out. Simular to the adventure trailers one.
Great job on the trailer... will be following along to see it finished.

Well I got some work done today. I got a spring hanger kit brand new with all the weld on mounts shackles, bolts and nuts for 12.50 so I cut off the homemade spring hangers off and put this kit on.

Well today I made a new lid... it was ran over by the tractor... oops.... $15 extra for the new one... I also got the top cut to size and tack welded on. If your wondering why there is a gap its for the weather striping that I will put on after I get the frame painted.

I'm my search for a piano hinge all the ones I found were way to weak so I picked up these from weld on hinges they are tacked on at the moment as well.
