Just so this doesn't get moved I have built a off-road trailer from scratch.
The only thing I didn't fabricate myself is the axles and leaf springs. I will start with the earliest photos I have from the build which regretfully is after the frame and tub were welded together. Well here we go...

First photo I took was around October 2011. I had finished welding the axle to the frame, tub to the frame, and at this point had bought some pre-fab cold roll fenders.

Braced the inside of the tub because I wanted to be able to put an ATV on top of the trailer.

Formed up some runners to keep the ATV in place on-top of the trailer. I built these out of steel and would later scrap them because they were to heavy. I have since replaced them with shorter aluminum runners.

Between building the rails and modifying these spydertrax wheel spacers was a few months. I had sold my old TJ purchased a new one and started modifying it.
The axle I had wouldn't fit the TJ canyon rims so I bought some spydertrax wheel spacers and used the mill to cut the spacers to fit around the axle hub.

Now that I could put the wheeks and tires on I took the trailer for its first test run on 35's. Old fenders were removed to fit the tires. Trailer towed well.

Drilled some holes in the trailer lid through the supports for the aluminum ATV rails to bolt through.

Loaded the trailer with the ATV and drove it around to check how it would track. I wanted to try it behind a full size truck before my jeep.

You'll notice in the last photo there is almost no room for up travel which will be needed when off-road. So I had some redesigning to do. Moved the fenders higher up on the tub this is after making new ones. Took about 2 inches off the width and about the same off the length.
I aslo had to move the lock and added two more rubber tie downs.
I plug welded the holes from both previous fender designs and then sent the trailer to my powdercoater.

Got the trailer back from paint and added a rack on front for propane or a cooler.

Now we are up to speed, these pics were taken today. Fabbed up a multidirectional hitch. It might take awhile to install this because I will have to grind off the standard hitch receiver which will be a *****.

I think you're a little off. The shell on a turtle is thicker by a factor of 1.6783 while compared to the speed of a Puma, when chasing a rabbit. Therefore, if you hit a nail with a 4 lb. hammer, the thickness of the wood needs to be 4, and your grip should be on your lower regions.
