my Bumper build up (XJ)

ok well i thought i would post up a build up of the bumper that im making.

well today i mocked up the whole bumper with cardboard which was the biggest PITA haha.the only thing i think im gona change is to have the bottom not so bulky looking but...anyways heres some pics of what i got done today:

thanks man. and the real on is gona be less bulky than this one. the cardboard is kinda sagin on the bottom haha

looks good. just build it to withstand a hit from a deer or something. oh, tie it back into the unibody too, in case you actually hit something.

im using mostly 1/4 and some 3/16. heres some pics from what i got done today before i ran out of wire

I'm lovin the design of your original... I'd like to see how this comes out...

And I hope you have bigger plans for those clevis mounts, cause a single 3/8" layer isnt gonna be very strong...

haha yea its gona be 3/4 " when im done. i just have that peice to tie it into the " frame "

well i got a lot of smoothing done just doin a little at a time now cause i have to finish a tire carrier for someone and that comes first. but i got some light mounts on it and some paint still have a lot to do ( prerunner bars, beef up d-ring mounts, and cap of ends ) :
