Hypertherm 380 help?

How easy should the swirl ring come out?

I'm trying to replace it and the old one is stuck in there.

I had one and it usually came out pretty easy.Once in a while I had to put a pair of channel locks on it

This one is stuck beyond being stuck. I've tried pliers, but it looks like I will need to use more force. I have a new ring to install.
I can't get it to cut at all and I'm hoping it's just the swirl ring. UGH!
