hobart drive roller

i got aa new hobart 190. picked up some .023 wire. do i need to replace the drive roller. (i am at work so i don't have my book) been running .030 wire.

Probably, my 230 came with a .030/.035 roller. I ordered a .023/.025 roller off fleabay...

If you run the thinner wire thru the .030 groove, you might have issues with smooth feeding.. slippage.

Can you not turn the roller over? I believe that's the way my HH187 is which if I'm not mistaken the HH190 replaces. A groove for .030-.035 on one side and a groove for .023-.025 on the other.

Edit: yep, .030-.035 groove and flip it for the .024 groove. Thats the way my HH 187 is anyway. Maybe they changed the roller/drive for the HH190?
